The Purple Dolphin Language Academy is proud to have some of the top language educators in Japan as part of our staff. Our head teacher, Duane Flowers came to Japan from America in 1994 and has been teaching English ever since. Not only does he have 10+ years of experience in teaching all levels of Japanese students, but he holds MA, MS & PhD degrees in TESOL as well as an MBA in Marketing. There are very few English schools in Japan with this level of experience and education, and this includes most of Japan’s leading universities. Freddy is Mexican American and is fluent not only in English and Spanish, but also Italian and Portuguese making these languages readily available to Purple Dolphin students. Rico is French Canadian giving our all All Star team French language serving abilities and rounding our our All American foreign staff.

The Japanese staff, Yumi (who’s usually hidden away in one of the offices) Mariko, Yuka and Miki all have exceptional teaching skills as well as their own areas of expertise. They are not only friendly but they are smart too… an increasingly rare quality among teachers.
